Architectural and ethnographic complex
“Shor ulus Kezek”

The Shor ulus “Kezek” - this is an authentic complex of dwellings and economic buildings of the Shor of the end of the XIX – the beginning of the XX century, consisting of a dwelling “Em”, a summer kitchen “Senek”, a barn “Aimorok”, a smithy, a bath “Melcha”, a calf-house, a pigsty, a hen-house and a stable. At the end of the 19th century single-cell izbas and five-wall huts borrowed from Russians became prevalent winter dwellings of the Shors.

Along with these a log yurta “senek” was also widely spread. Next to the estate is recreated shorskiy wedding hut - "green yourta", traditionally utilized during conducting of wedding as the ritual dwelling of fiance and bride.

The exposition the "house of shaman" (it is used traditional timbered yourta), where the attributes of Shor’s shaman and his mannequin are represented tells about the pre-Christian beliefs of Shorts.

On the whole, the complex exposition reflexes traditional material and spiritual culture of Tartars, and also the influence of Russian culture and way of life. The conditions of the museum allow showing the monuments of material and spiritual culture of the peoples in the situations which are very close to natural ones.
